Very Rare Beautiful French Bebe François Gaultier Antique Bisque Doll Exquisite Antique French Dress Museum Quality, 18 inches

Extraordinary Bebe doll by François Gaultier, a master of fine doll-making in 19th-century France. This particular Bebe is a rare find, even among the already limited number of Gaultier dolls that surface on the market her face is exceptionally exquisite with the sweet tenderness of the earlier Gualtier dolls. With the lovely paper weight blue eyes her expressive face speaks across time with uncommon gentleness and character. She is a true collector’s treasure . I acquired the doll from Paris.
I am selling my doll collection ! I have been a doll collector for many years and decided it is time to pass my treasures onto others who would value their aesthetics and history.
I love it that a child played with them, sitting beside them, sleeping with them ,talking to them ,strolling them , pretending their days.
She is beautifully dressed in a laced French antique piece with the draping diagonal ribbon, a telling feature of late 1800s fashion.
I chose the dress and bonnet (with their wonderful 3 types of lace, ribbons ,and silk flowers) especially to reflect the dolls loveliness. Although an artistic treasure in its own right , the lovely set graces her beautifully. Although not in the photos ,her original French antique dress will accompany her as well.
Her composition body is also French with the valued Jumeau Paris stamp on the back ( see photo). She wears the scroll Gualtier mark in her bisque , yet has the gentle face of the Block Lettering Gualtier dolls.
